B&N Inspiration

My summer has finally started. I crammed everything into my car that could possibly fit, and drove. 100 miles later, hugs goodbye and hello, I was home. I haven't been looking forward to this day, but it inevitably came, and I must deal. After two years of near independence at college, plus a random semester abroad, my soul has an intense longing to jump. To jump into that next stage of life, beyond high school graduation, but not yet completely on my own as a self-supportive young woman. I am quite positive that next summer will be the one, that defining point of my life in which I will struggle some, but begin to learn of the ingredients required to make the apple pie of growing up. It will take me a few tries to conjure the right balance between tart and sweet, but I have always loved a challenge. And as my father says, I can accomplish anything I set my mind to, and nothing can ever stop me from reaching my goals. For now, I will keep busy and enjoy my last summer at home. And just so you know, I miss you already.
